Molfre Uplift Weekend

During this downhill mountain bike track weekend – run by Borderline Events – you get to ride Molfre's two speedy, twisting routes 40 times (20 times each day). The valley views are stunning but we suggest you keep your eyes on the track's drops, rollers and berms or you might find yourself eating mud at the first corner.

Mountain Hardwear Open5 Adventure Race Series

Staveley, Lake District, Cumbria, England

This hilly five-hour biking and running challenge is suitable for adventure racers of all levels. You progress through the race by navigating your way between a series of controls (waypoints and markers), can race solo or in a team of two and decide how much time you spend cycling or running.

Sickbag Airbag nights

The SnowDome, Tamworth, Staffordshire, England

If you're planning a snowboard and ski trip this winter and want to learn a few funpark tricks to impress your mates with, this should be right up your alley. The SnowDome will be setting up an inflated airbag at the end of a jump so you can practise spins and flips without fear of knocking your teeth out.

Witham Boxing Day 5

Witham, Essex, England

Take on this undulating 5-mile race and you will undo some of the damage you'll inflict on your poor body on Christmas Day when you wolf down turkey, mince pies and mulled wine with an abandon that makes the Pete Doherty seem reserved. Best of all, you'll get the chance to race against MF's front section editor Joe Warner who runs the race every year.
