If you're looking for a non-competitive mountain bike event that's more about having fun than testing your fitness, this is the event for you – especially if you're a fan of proper British ale. Enter, and you'll take on one of three routes (15, 25 or 35 miles), supping ale along the way. Expect to be quite wobbly by the time you get to the end of the course.

2008 Puma HellRunner Series - Hell Down South

Taxing climbs, clinging mud and thick undergrowth await anyone brave enough to take on the 11-mile Hell Down South race. The first five men and five women to cross the line will win goodies, but the real prize is the child-like glee you'll experience from getting covered in mud as you peg it along the swampy course.

Wadenhoe Winter Challenge
