MF’s mildly vertiginous editor, Jon Lipsey, went on a two-day trek up Mount Toubkal, the highest point in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The expedition started at a small town called Imlil, about 70km south west of Marrakech. On the first night he camped out at the Neltner Refuge at 3,207m before making a bid for the 4,167m summit the following morning. Here’s how he got on.
