Dumb-bell bench press

Dumb-bells take more effort to stabilise than a bar, making the move tougher.

  • With your head and shoulders supported by bench, your knees bent 90˚ and your feet flar on the floor, hold the dumb-bells at chest level.
  • Brace your core muscles, then press the weights straight up with palms facing forward. Lower slowly.
  • Don't arch your back.
