What are supersets?
Supersets are pairs of exercises put together. You complete the first set of the first exercise, then move on and do one set of the next exercise, without any rest, to complete one set. This workout will use antagonistic supersets, so called because they work opposite muscle groups, often along the same movement plane.
How do they work?
You usually rest between sets so that the target muscles can recover. Supersets allow you to continue lifting by recruiting the opposite muscle group, which will still be fresh. Not only does this speed up your workout but it also keeps your heart rate high and avoids unbalanced growth.
