Variation: Clap press-up

When you push up explosively enough so that you can clap your hands, you target fast-twitch muscle fibres.

 
 
1. Clap press-up: Step 1
  • Elbows pointing back.
  • Body straight.




 
2. Clap press-up: Step 2
  • Push up so you leave the floor, clap, and go straight into the next rep.

This move blends power and co-ordination to give you functional upper-body strength.
 

Variation: Alternating offset jump press-up
